PHASE IV BLOOD LACTATE TESTING and PRESCRIPTION
Our test is at the forefront of Sports Science. This testing allows us to see what is happening inside your body during exercise, and provides the data to create accurate heart-rate training zones. This allows for 100% productivity from your workouts and maximizes fitness outcomes.

FORM™ - Structural Exam and Appraisal with a Physical Therapist
Structural stability is vital for injury-free peak performance. With FORM™, a fully qualified Physical Therapist will assess your current structural strengths, weaknesses, and imbalances, take into account injuries both past and present, and design a strength & flexibility program to meet your personal needs.

FUEL™ NUTRITIONAL ASSESSMENT
After submitting a 3–day food diary, your dietary intake will be analyzed for macro and micronutrient content. Deficiencies and excesses will be identified. You will receive a printed, personalized dietary report specific to your needs based on your activity level.

Strength & Conditioning Services

FSS™ - Full Season Strength and Flexibility Program
This full season strength and conditioning program will bring your fitness to a peak as you progress through the phases of Periodization Training. You will receive a Structural Examination performed by a Physical Therapist and four personal training sessions to instruct you in core strength, posture exercises, Periodization weight training, stretching and plyometric exercises specific to each phase. Your program is designed to peak your fitness for to meet your goals for health and fitness.

STRUCTURE™ - Injury Prevention Program
For those hampered by injury year after year, this program will provide the professional guidance of an experienced Sports Physical Therapist who will help solve your problems. After taking an extensive history of your injuries and training habits, a structural examination is performed. The information garnered from this testing is utilized to design a personalized flexibility and strength program which is simple and easily performed at home. These are the essential exercises necessary to achieve functional stability of the pelvis, core, and shoulder girdle. This will lead to efficiency and injury prevention for your sport and general health. This is the minimal strength and flexibility work needed to stay healthy and maintain function.

PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINING
Unlike any typical gym, at PHASE IV Physical Therapists oversee all personal training sessions. Training experiences are supportive, effective, educational, and safe. Data collected from your Structural Examination and other assessments is utilized to customize your Periodization strength and conditioning program, performed individually with your trainer.

ERGO-POWER™ - Bike Positioning and Fit Analysis
Correct bicycle fit is vital to optimal injury-free performance. Through the measurement joint angles & appraisal of biomechanical deviations while in motion, we can detect imbalances. Correction of limb length discrepancies, shoe choice, & optimal cleat placement and drills will improve your power & stamina.

ERGO-POWER PLUS™ - Computer Assisted Bike Positioning and Pedal Stroke Analysis
The basic ERGO-POWER™, plus computer analysis of your pedal stroke and power output while changes are made to your position and set-up.

ERGO-POWER™ Refinement
A follow-up session to your original ERGO-POWER™ to make further adjustments and refinements.

SPIN SCAN™
Computer analysis of your pedal stroke and power output while changes are made to your position and set-up. Analysis of your right-to-left power output and efficiency is conducted with specific coaching drills to improve performance.

SPIN-FIT™ - Spinning Bike Fit Analysis
A scientific bike fit specifically for the spinning bike user.

SPEED LAB™ - Video Assisted Run Gait Analysis and Coaching Session
Efficiency in running means improved performance. We assess your stride frequency, knee rise, foot & leg position at foot strike, & upper body carriage to determine efficient biomechanics. Shoe changes, limb length correction, exercises, & drills are prescribed to improve efficiency and prevent and/or correct injury.

OVERSPEED TRAINING
To run faster, you need to train your neurological system, as well as your muscles. Using a high-speed treadmill, athletes are fitted in a special harness and can be unweighted by a hoist to allow for high frequency leg cadence or turnover. Other drills improve balance, coordination, and running efficiency.

FLUID™ - Swim Technique Analysis and Coaching
The FLUID™ complete swimming stroke analysis includes a detailed review, training prescription, and personal training session. You leave with a comprehensive understanding of the stroke and what you need to do in order to improve.

PERSONAL SWIM COACHING
For many, the swim is a major headache. Unfortunately, without proper stroke mechanics and a decent understanding of the stroke, improvements can be permanently elusive! The same goes for seasoned swimmers. Often the only way forward from already fast to even faster times is through technical refinement. Personal coaching with a PHASE IV staff coach can help take your swimming to the next level.

PERSONAL CYCLE COACHING - On the Road
Refine your bike handling skills under expert supervision. Learn to corner & descend with confidence, and refine your pedal stroke under everyday conditions.

COACHED INTERVALS (Run/ Bike)
A great opportunity to learn correct running or cycling skills and to push yourself to performance gains based on your Blood Lactate test results.

ENDURO™ - Daily Training Program (12weeks)
The ENDURO™ program is a detailed Periodization training program that gives you daily workouts for the run or bike based on your current needs and Blood Lactate Test results. Includes 30-minute consult to review training history, sport goals, strengths, weaknesses, etc. before the program is written, and then an additional 30-minute consult to review program after it is written.

AERO™ - Hands on Coaching and Mentoring (12 weeks)
AERO™ coaching is the ideal addition to the ENDURO™ training program. Regular interaction with your coach will help you hit peak performances through consultation, phone and email interaction, weekly training diary analysis, and program updates.

SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY
Through instruction and consultation, a Sports Psychologist will work with you to teach you how to win the mental game.

PERFORMANCE ORTHOTIC DEVISES
Correcting mechanics of the foot and ankle during walking and running gait and cycling technique serves to prevent injury and optimize performance through better efficiency and power production. Phase IV’s highly trained and accredated Orthotists utilize a non-weight bearing, neutral foot casting technique to ensure proper correction of faulty mechanics.

An experienced Licensed Physical Therapist conducts a complete ergonomic evaluation of your work environment, home furnishings and automobile.

You will receive personalized dietary guidelines specific to your needs based on your activity level. Following your analysis, you will receive one 60–minute consult, and two subsequent 30–minute consults. Each consult includes a body fat assessment using electronic Skyndex™ calipers.

60–MINUTE FUEL™ NUTRITION CONSULT
Consultation to assess your nutritional needs. Phase IV Registered Dietitian will design a comprehensive scientifically based nutrition plan. Two subsequent 30–minute consults will be scheduled to review progress and make necessary adjustments. Each consult includes a body fat assessment using electronic Skyndex™ calipers.

30–MINUTE FUEL™ NUTRITION CONSULT

Because a scale can’t determine your ratio of lean productive mass to fat mass, you can be overweight but not “overfat” or vice versa. Your body composition is a direct indicator of health and fitness. This information can help you determine your ideal weight for optimal performance.

FUEL™ SPORTS PERFORMANCE NUTRITION CONSULTATION
30 minute PHASE IV Nutritional Consultation dealing with daily training and workout nutrition and race day strategies for hydration, nutrition, and electrolyte management. This consult will assure you are properly fueled for success.

FUEL™ SPORTS PERFORMANCE NUTRITION PROGRAM
After submitting a 3–day food diary, your dietary intake will be analyzed for macro and micronutrient content. Deficiencies and excesses will be identified. You will receive personalized dietary guidelines specific to your needs based on your event and activity level. Following your analysis, you will receive one 60–minute consult to assess your nutritional needs. Then Phase IV RDs will design a comprehensive scientifically based nutrition plan needed to fuel your workouts and competition with adequate nutrients and electrolytes support. Two subsequent 30–minute consults will be scheduled to review progress and make necessary adjustments. Each consult includes a body fat assessment using electronic Skyndex™ calipers.

SUPERMARKET TOURS
Learn how to navigate through the supermarket aisles and become a smart shopper. Tour the supermarket with a Phase IV Registered Dietitian and learn how to interpret food label nutritional information, label claims and ingredients to make healthy choices. The guided tours will be focused on your health concerns and will allow for ample time for discussion.

HOME KITCHEN ASSESSMENT
Start your healthy eating plan with a healthy kitchen! A Phase IV Registered Dietitian will come to your home and assess the health status of your fridge and pantry. We will find out which foods are missing and which foods need to go. You will receive recommendations of how to stock up to fit your life style and your healthy eating goals!

WATERPOWER PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
Working against water’s natural resistance makes for a healthier more balanced workout than is possible on land- with virtually no risk of damage to the body. For both exercise programs as well as rehabilitation, pool workouts build aerobic and anaerobic fitness, muscle strength and tone, flexibility, good body alignment and agility. The Waterpower Performance Program can be conducted either in our private facility, your home or other location.

RECOVERY TECHNIQUES PROGRAM
The critical importance of recovery to your fitness cannot be overstated. It is difficult for some competitive athletes to grasp that all exercise, even the most intense speed and strength work, is futile if time for recovery is not observed. You may feel like you’re training hard, but unless you are actively recovering, you are not improving. It is during recovery that your fitness evolves. In fact, you may be over-training and fatiguing your body to the point where your fitness is stalled or regressing. We will support and counsel you through your recovery periods, just as we’ve done for Olympians and dozens of professional athletes. Recovery is accomplished though many techniques and therapies at Phase IV, including:
